Though designed specifically for the challenge of electric ignition of Visco fuse, Talon igniters are compatible with any type fuse; Visco (fast & slow), tape match, black match, quickmatch, etc. Unlike standard electric match or "e-match", Talon non-pyrogen igniters can be purchased, shipped and stored with no limitations whatsoever. They are compatible with nearly every firing system on the market from 6-48v. Talon igniters are safe, rugged and versatile. The Talon clip igniters now come with orange wire.

  Installation Tips:

• When installing the igniter onto the fuse don't move the clip up, down, or side to side once on the fuse. This will weaken or break the filament.

• Open the igniter like a clothespin, place the fuse in the slot and close the igniter. Cutting off the extra fuse makes the igniter easy to tape in place but not necessary. Secure in place with tape so the igniter won't move, breaking the filament.

• If using heavy coated fuse weaken the coating so the filament ignites the fuse before breaking.

• The clip igniters should only be hooked to the firing system in parallel.

• Use the clip igniters out of the original box they come in. The clips snag on one another as you pull them out of the box.

• Do not store the igniters in a warm environment or in direct sunlight. Store in the house not in the warm garage.

• Talon non-pyrogen clip igniters can be safely installed on the firework before taking the product in the field so the user can spend less time in the field setting up a show.

• Over the last three years we have used 2100+ Talon clip igniters in shows with only a few failures. One clip igniter burned but did not ignite the fuse and four clip igniters that were not burned indicating a filament break or wire connection issue. Installed correctly the Talon clip igniters can be used with great success.
